Onassis AiR Fellowship on body/word Performance Writing dramaturgies

“CoJAM1312: Corporealities and Dramaturgies as tools for creating a hybrid work employing the body/word Performance Writing methodology”. An Onassis AiR Fellowship so multifaceted and intensly nourishing, a real turning point for my artistic research, multimodal creation, teaching and mentoring employing body/word Performance Writing.

First stop, Finland, for CARPA8 (2023), international conference on “Dramaturgies of Artistic Research – Solvitur ambulando (“solved by moving”)” by the University of the Arts Helsinki, Theatre Academy, focusing on bridging dramaturgy with artistic research, fostering ecological, social, and pedagogical connections. My proposal was “Radical subtleties and other things we might take for granted” a body/word Performance Writing workshop feeding into an article with the workshop score and a b/w PW glossary, available online in the proceedings of CARPA8.

Back to Athens, offering two b/w PW workshops for co-Fellows and other professionals. Starting to develop dramaturgical strategies and content for a new creation bringing together dance and Performance Writing, a participatory piece with the working title “CoJAM1312”.

Moving on to the University of Peloponese, invited by Dr Tzartzani for a lecture and workshop for the  3rd & 4th Year Elective Course “DANCE I: Contemporary and Postmodern Choreographic Practices” students.

Employing b/w PW in mentoring sessions for professionals showing theatre and dance pieces in STEGI, as well as international fellows during their artistic research.

Receiving most informative and supportive feedback on the different aspects of the whole research by co-Fellows and professionals in key positions.

Then, finally, testing out a first stage raw material and performance strategies amid a heatwave with a most generous group of participants, in the Onassis AiR studio (run-through documentation video still image), bringing this multifaceted, dense research and creative process to a temporary closure.

Most grateful for the whole duration, initial outcomes and where these have taken my practice since. Thank you EveryBody * ~
